What you do when you have a dog that has a real taste for fiction. There have been times when I have wanted to devour a book...but not like Maddy. She ate 7 hardcover books before we put up our book fence sprayed with super yuck. She seems to have lost her taste for literature now.

Another sure fire method for deterrent is to put all of the Larry McMurtry books on the bottom shelve. Lonesome Dove is sure to leave the pooch alseep in a puddle of drool - not really mom, know you love that epic sap.
